  • The first volume contains the plates of the author's Icones virorum illustrium. (5th ed.). The second to fifth volumes (each with special t. p., engraved) are designated as pars VI-IX of the Bibliotheca, and "Continuatio I-[IV]" of the Icones.
  • Pars VI has imprint: Heidelbergæ, Impensis Clementis Ammoni Bibl. [n. d.]; pars VII: Francfordij ad Moenum, Impensis Clementis Āmonij, bibliopolæ et chalcographi, 1669; pars VIII-IX have no imprint.
  • Portraits of pars VI engraved by Sebastian Furck; those of pars VII-VIII by Klemens Ammon; t. p. and several portraits of pars IX signed: M. v. Sommer f.; several portraits of pars IX signed following caption: Heim f.
  • Without text except lists of names for each volume and in general a distich below each portrait (wanting in pars VI)
