Biography
Author of topics in African-American history. Katz and his father, Bernard, conducted research on the history of black oppression and resistance. Katz was born in 1938.
Lucy Terry Prince was considered America's earliest African-American poet. She was a slave in Massachusetts and was later freed when bought by her husband, Abijah Prince, a New England landowner.
