Papers consist of biographical material, and working files for the development of a curriculum to teach educators and children. Scrapbooks on the "Sing a Song" television program, several notebooks of musical arrangements and adaptations by Bailey, a notebook entitled "Here's Charity - Songs to Sing and Do," news clippings, lesson plans, diplomas, and material about incorporating Haitian and classical music into her programs.

Biography
Charity Alberta Bailey (1904-1978) was a pioneer in the field of children's music. Bailey was recognized nationally as an authority on the use of folk music as a tool to teach music to children.
