| Biography |
Hildegarde Loretta Sell was born in Wisconson on February 1, 1906. Known professionally as "Hildegarde," Miss Sell became a successful caberet and cafe singer. She was also a pianist and an actress. Hildegarde made her first recording on October 17, 1934. Hildegarde was honored on her eightieth birthday, February 1, 1986, at Carnegie Hall, in New York City. |
