Summary

Views of Harlem Renaissance novelist, folklorist and anthropologist, Zora Neale Hurston approximately dated from 1920's to the 1950's. Images include portraits of Hurston at the W.P.A. booth at the NY Times bookfair reading book "American Stuff"; in a rocking chair, on a porch, smoking a cigarette; some images are studio portraits; half and full-length views are included. A print of a quarter-length portrait can be found in Portraits - Oversize.
