The collection includes portraits of Amy Garvey alone; also in group portraits with unidentified people. Some groups portraits look like family portraits; some are portraits of African people in native dress. Also included is a shot of Amy Garvey with two unidentified women on the steps of the Afro Women's Centre and in a group portrait with the Jamaica United Party, taken sometime in the 1960's.
