Local Note
The Schomburg Center's Manuscripts, Archives & Rare Book Division have two copies of the book with accession no. H266502 and K40600 in ink on several parts of the books. Probably added to the collection; when Catherine A. Latimer was the collection librarian, and Lawrence Reddick was the Curator. They lack original covers and are bound in library binding; copy one with navy cloth pasted over boards and gilt spine. Copy two bound with a brochure program, entitled: "Program of the Ninety-first year of the First Baptist Church of South Richmond, VA., and the fortieth anniversary of the Pastor, A. Binga, Jr. D. D;" "May 05, 1912," with red cloth pasted over boards, and gilt spine. Copy two, imperfect: brittle, loose pages; includes manuscript notation: "Excuse this soiled program; I haven't anymore." -- program cover; stamps in red: "SC 4734" -- p. 324.
