- The pamphlet is part of the original collection purchased from Arthur A. Schomburg in 1926. It contains an NYPL's bookplate of Arthur A. Schomburg Negro Collection; and the Star stamp on the preliminary page. Imperfect: bound in three-quarter brown leather and light green cloth over boards with additional blank pages at the back; spine ends slightly worn and soiled, brittle, and loose front cover and preliminary page, currently housed in an NYPL-made portfolio binder.Copy in Sc Rare 325.4-P imperfect, lacking final blank leaf.Copy in Sc Rare 325.4-P bound second in a volume of nine works related to French colonies, with a typewritten sheet at front containing a collective title "Pièces sur les colonies", and a list of works in the volume.
