The Schomburg Center Manuscripts, Archives & Rare Book Division has three copies of the book; copy in Sc Rare 326.1-C (Clarkson, T. Essay on the impolicy of the African) (accession no. D128459) showed a "Dec. 22, 1942"-- (G.K. Halls, v. 2, page 1446, column 3, row 2), addition to the collection when Catherine A. Latimer and Lawrence Reddick were the Collection Librarian & Curator. It includes NYPL's bookplate of "Arthur A. Schomburg Negro Collection," NYPL's perforated stamp, and the Star symbol ink stamp. It has advertisement on p. 135. P. 136 is blank; Imperfect: bound in library binding, red cloth over boards, and gilt spine. Binding date stamp: Nov. 9, 1945.
Copy in Sc Rare C 16-9 (Lapidus Collection) is a gift, which is part of the Lapidus Collection added to the Schomburg collection in 2016. It has advertisement on p. 135. P. 136 is blank; bound in half or quarter brown leather with marbled paper boards.
Copy in Sc Rare C 16-10 (Lapidus Collection) is a gift, which is part of the Lapidus Collection added to the Schomburg collection in 2016. Imperfect: lacking advertisement at end, brittle spine label; and bound in blue paper boards; leaves unopened.
