Paddleford residence; the Charles Green residence, which served as Sherman's headquarters in 1864, showing an interior view with statues under bell jars in a hallway, and a view of the family on the piazza, showing the ironwork; The Hermitage, home of Henry McAlpin, showing the drive, the house with an African American woman under some trees and the "Negro quarters"; Views of the city market, including African Americans selling fruits and vegetables from wagons and tables in front of the market; a view of a house, captioned Gen. Shumway's headquarters; the Chatham County jail; a business block; the Chatham Artillery building, with a cannon and revolutionary war figure on the roof, a studio photo of an alligator on a table.
