- Views of Cape Ann: beach and sea scenes: people at Pavilion beach, Gloucester, Half Moon beach, Brace's chasm, Norman's Woe, scene of the wreck of the Hesperus, Trap rock shcasm; various "Marine studies" of the ocean, including "instantaneous views" of waves, ships and sailboats silhouetted against bright water; fisherman with coiled nets or ropes at Folly Beach; "Spring study at Pigeon Cove" showing budding trees, home, drive, winter view of Gloucester, showing snowy beach, homes, masts of beyond; man and girl in front of boathouse and dock at Brookbank, sailboat at dock; group of people on rocks, Thatcher's Island and its two lighthouses, beyond; light house and fog bell, enclosed passage connecting lighthouse to station.
