  • Views of the churches in Boston: Arlington St. Church (sometimes called Dr. Gannett's), including an interior view from the balcony; Brattle Square Congregational Church, (demolished 1872), one view with wagon in front; Emmanuel (Dr. Huntington's) Church; First Presbyterian Church, showing apothecary on the corner; the Independent Chapel; Church of the Immaculate Conception, next to Boston College, including interior views showingthe central altar, and an altar in one of the aisles, elaborate sconces visible; King's Chapel, showing columned front, street vendor on the corner, from Tremont St. showing carriages; Rev. Dr. Ellis's Church; Old South Church: most views from Washington Street, showing clock tower, one showing ivy covering, one view showing trolleys and wagon on the street, Parker building at right, view of the interior from a balcony showing pastor's lectern, an interior view showing (Civil war era?) soldiers among the pews, a view showing signs calling for the protection of the church from "despoilers" and street widening; New Old South Church: including interior view showing organ; Old North Church or Christ Church: looking up Hull (?) St. with boys with wheelbarrow in front of clapboard houses, a view of woman and children in front of brick house, garbage cans lining the sidewalk, view of the church decorated for the Revolutionary war centennial, an interior view showing the altar from the balcony.
