Churches in Philadelphia: Presbyterian churches, many of the views probably made on the occasion of the meeting of the General Assembly, held at the Seventh Presbyterian Church, 1861, including interior views often showing the pastor at the lecturn, etc., and a group portrait of the participants of the General Assembly; Christ Church, including interior viewsand a view of the pew used by Washington and Lafayette; Trinity Church: view of the body of Rev. Peter Maria Ca(?)on (1821-1871) in a coffin in front of the altar, also an interior view of the church decorated with swags; the Cathedral at Logan Square, including interior view; the Old Swede's Church and the burial ground; the Jewish Synagogue with the high school next door; Friends Meeting House; views of many other churches.
