  • Stereoscopic views of the Central Pacific Railroad: views of Indians: "Digger Indian Fandango Hall," showing partially underground structure and several individuals by opening; "Washoe Indians--the chief's family" showing group wearing Euro-American clothing and carrying various burdens including baskets and a cradleboard; a group of Piute men and boys wearing Euro-American clothing; wagons on the Summit, Dutch Flat and Donner Lake Wagon Road, wagon teams passing through a snow bank at the summit of the Sierra Nevada, a twelve mule team pulling covered wagon and another wagon; Yuba River: falls near Cisco, Summit Valley, Donner Pass in the distance, falls near Crystal Lake; man sitting among the stumps of the trees cut in 1846 by the Donner Party at "Starvation Camp"; Donner Lake, including view of people in boats on the lake and general views; pack train in Dutch Flat and general view; man on skis or snowshoes at Summit House; Crystal Lake House near Cisco; American River: Jehovah Gap in Placer County, Green Valley above Alta, from Cape Horn showing bridge and road to Yankee Jim's; rocky cut above Alta; stone embankment at Cape Horn, train on Cape Horn, showing passengers, and from below showing farm in the valley; half way sign on Cape Horn; Bloomer Cut near Auburn; train barely visible between snow that almost covers buildings at Upper Cisco, men standing above train on snow banks, snow plow on front of engine.
