Biography (note)
  • M. Louise Gross (1884-1951) worked as secretary to the New York City Tammany Hall district leader Thomas F. Foley and was active in anti-prohibition groups. After the repeal of prohibition in 1933 she continued in politics and in the 1940s was a registered lobbyist in Washington, D.C. for the Women's Moderation Union.

M. Louise Gross (1884-1951) worked as secretary to the New York City Tammany Hall district leader Thomas F. Foley and was active in anti-prohibition groups. After the repeal of prohibition in 1933 she continued in politics and in the 1940s was a registered lobbyist in Washington, D.C. for the Women's Moderation Union.
