Biography
Edward Clark Potter (1857-1923) was an American sculptor known for his equestrian monuments. He collaborated with Daniel Chester French on sculptural groups for the Columbian Exposition in Chicago in 1893. Potter's sculptures of animals included the lions in front of the New York Public Library and the Morgan Library in New York City. He was elected to the National Academy of Arts and Letters in 1906.
