[Music and introduction of program by unidentified speaker.] Walter Terry introduces Nigel Gosling, who writes in collaboration with his wife Maude Lloyd under the joint pseudonym, Alexander Bland. Nigel Gosling speaks about how he became interested in dance; how he met his wife, Maude Lloyd; Maude Lloyd's background and her career as a ballet dancer; their work together as Alexander Bland, in particular, working with Rudolf Nureyev on his autobiography; the differences in style and traditions between English ballet and ballet in the United States, including the New York City Ballet Company. [Closing remarks by unidentified speaker and music.]
