Nora Kaye speaks with Ara Guzelimian about why she changed her name to "Kaye"; Michel Fokine as a teacher; Ballet Theatre [now American Ballet Theatre] including some of her first solo roles; Antony Tudor's Pillar of fire including reasons Tudor chose her [for the role of Hagar]; Tudor's influence on her; working with a choreographer; factors that determine a dancer's decision to stop dancing; the film The turning point including her objectives in making the film; how Leslie Browne came to be cast [ends abruptly but continues on streaming audio file 2].
