[Music.] Lucile Brahms Nathanson introduces the program Making the dance scene, and her guest Linda Mann Reed; Linda Mann Reed speaks with Lucile Brahms Nathanson about the Charles Weidman Modern Dance Foundation, which Reed helped set up in order to support Charles Weidman artistically and financially, for example in reconstructing his works Lynchtown and Brahms waltzes [Brahms waltzes, opus 39]; the memorial held for Weidman at the Majestic Theatre in New York City; the role the Foundation has played in keeping Weidman's works alive; her background and training; the circumstances of her joining the Humphrey-Weidman Company including an anecdote about Charles Weidman [music].
