Robert Joffrey speaks about his ballet Persephone as a film of the ballet is being screened; he identifies cast members and the characters they represent, explains the significance of the dancers' actions, and otherwise elucidates what is seen on screen.   • Commentary by Robert Joffrey on his ballet Persephone, recorded in 1953 during a screening of a film of the ballet. There are periods in the recording when only the sound of the projector can be heard. Filmed excerpts of this ballet are in the Library's collection cataloged as *MGZIDVD 5-4655 and *MGZIDVD 5-3656.
  • The sound quality is fair. Robert Joffrey's voice is easily intelligible, but the voice of the (unidentified) person moderating the commentary is very soft and unintelligible.
