[Music and commercials.] In response to two (unidentified) moderators, Agnes de Mille speaks (briefly) about De Mille's Dance Heritage Theatre; De Mille, Ailey, and Terry discuss the current position of dance in the United States; the benefits of dancing for children [recorded musical accompaniment to Helen Tamiris's work Go down Moses (Negro spirituals), performed by Bruce Becker; announcement and commercials]; continuation of the discussion; topics include male dancers and male dancing; the role the 92nd Street Y played in the history of dance in America; advice to viewers who call in with questions about the study of dance; and some of the companies that will be seen at the planned gala anniversary performance.
