Note
  • Film-video dance artist Amy Greenfield introduces and comments upon her film and video works including Dirt, Transport, Element, and Dervish, at a presentation held by the Pittsburgh Film-Makers, in Pittsburgh, Penn., on September 23 and 24, 1977. Greenfield discusses her ideas on integration of camera work and human movement; her avoidance of pre-choreographing; and editing as the final choreography. The presentation includes extensive question and answer periods with the audience after the viewing of each film.

  • Sound quality ranges from good to very poor. For the most part, in streaming audio files 1 and 2, Amy Greenfield's voice is easily intelligible. However, some of the other speakers often sound as if they are far from the microphone, and their voices are correspondingly difficult to understand. The recording is marred by extraneous noise and periods of ambient noise; in particular, streaming audio file 2 includes a number of sections that consist of the sound of the film projector. In addition, beginning with the approximate first 2 minutes, there are sections (audience questions primarily) in streaming audio file 3 that are severely distorted and not intelligible.
