- The interior of a Shaker meeting house, with the men and women of the congregation, in separate ranks, approaching each other in an ecstatic dance.
- Based on a color lithograph of ca. 1826 by Anthony Imbert, entitled Shakers near Lebanon (reproduced in Dance index, v. 1, no. 4, 1942, p. 58). Later versions based on the Imbert print also include a color lithograph by Nathaniel Currier (reproduced in Dance perspectives, no. 15, 1962, p. 42).
