Marie Taglioni in Guerra's restaging of Filippo Taglioni's ballet La gitana, premiered at Her Majesty's Theatre, June 6, 1839.
Full length to front, head slightly inclined to the right, standing in fourth position, right foot front, with heel raised slightly off the ground, her left hand is behind her back, her right is at her side, palm toward the audience. The background is formed by a Russian landscape.
