Note
  • Printed on lithograph, lower left: Belin & Bethmont. Caption: Les Jardins Suspendus - Pas Assyrien (2e acte).
  • A moment from the interpolated ballet, with choreography by Lucien Petipa, in the Paris Opéra's production of Rossini's Semiramide, revived July 9, 1860.
  • The massive décor represents the Hanging Gardens of Babylon. The mythical Assyrian queen Semiramis sits on a throne at right, surrounded by guards. A large corps de ballet encircles two groups of three women. At center a male dancer (Magloire Beauchet?) lifts his partner to the side; her arms are en coronne.
