- Sheet music cover depicting a group pose from Jules Perrot's divertissement Le pas de quatre, first performed in London, July 12, 1845.
- Outdoor setting: at the center of the group is Marie Taglioni, who is kneeling, facing the audience, on her right knee, her left fingertips touching her neck, the elbow of her left arm supported on her right wrist. At her left and right, respectively, are Carlotta Grisi and Lucile Grahn. Behind Taglioni, looking down at her, is Fanny Cerrito. Flowers are strewn about at their feet.
