- Note
- A cutting from the Illustrated London News.
- A wooden theater, a stage with stalls on each side for musicians. A capacity audience watches eight performers. The dancers, wearing kimonos and holding fans, are balanced on their left foot, their knee bent.
- The published commentary on the reverse states that "the female musicians on each side were singing and playing the story which the ballet-girls were acting."
