- Summary
- Modern dancer Kazuko Hirabayashi discusses her present position as acting dean of the Dance Department at the State University of New York at Purchase. She recounts her upbringing in Japan, earning a degree in law, coming to America to study at the University of Montana, and subsequently studying dance in New York at the American Ballet Theatre School and the Juilliard School. She also discusses her dance company and activities as a teacher at the Juilliard School and as a choreographer.
