- Summary
- The story of the Khmer Classical Dance Troupe, a group of Cambodian dancers and musicians who are attempting to preserve their national dance tradition. The film documents the survival of this troupe from the nightmare of the Cambodian genocide, to the refugee camps in Thailand, to their subsequent immigration to the U.S. and their new home outside Washington, D.C. The group is seen rehearsing and performing segments from the Ramayana. Cassette 2 includes performance of a monkey dance.
