- 47 photographs of the Serimpi (Javanese women's court dance) from various times and places. Two daughters of Mangkunagara VII of Surakarta are depicted in a performance, ca. 1932. The dancer Mandrarini of the Istana Mangkunagaran in Surakarta demonstrates movements from the Serimpi. One photograph shows the Serimpi Renggowati, as danced in Yogyakarta, while 20 photographs by Iwan Tirtaamidjaja depict a performance of the Serimpi Putri Cina in Yogyakarta in 1968.
