Features ancient Chinese musical instruments, including newly-discovered chimes from the Sui region. Performed by the Hubei Provincial Song and Dance Ensemble.

- CONTENTS. - Zhong (chimes), qing (or ch'ing) (bells), and drum music ensemble. Meeting the God (ritual dance). Song to orange; verse by the Chinese poet, Qu Yuan. Suite of dances: Mountain hunting; Picking up the mulberry leaves; Ploughing; Lamentation for the patriotic martyrs; Going out to the war. - Ancient Chinese music instrument ensemble: Cloud (performed on the "ch'ih", five-hole flute); Lamentation (performed on the "xun", the most ancient Chinese instrument, 6,000 years old); Moon-reflected fish (performed on the "se", 25-string zither) "Pai xiao" (set of flutes); ensemble. Suite of songs: Love song of the youngsters; Song to the integrated official, Sun Shu-ao. Grand court banquet entertainment: Chime-beating dance; other instruments' dance; long sleeve dance.
