Summary

Jane Dudley, on leave from London School of Contemporary Dance where she now teaches and choreographs, talks about her forthcoming retrospective dance concert in New York. In reminiscing about her early work with Hanya Holm and Martha Graham, she describes the creation of Graham's Panorama at Bennington School of the Dance. She recalls her work with the New Dance Group and the Dudley-Maslow-Bales Trio during the Depression, including her early solo The life of a worker and the creation of Harmonica breakdown, and comments upon the social and political involvement of dancers of the day.
