- Taglioni as the Sylphide is seen performing a jeté en avant, left foot forward, as she travels along a grassy path bordered by roses. Her head is inclined slightly to her right, with her right arm bent at the elbow, towards the left breast. Her left arm is extended in a demi-seconde position, palm downwards. She has butterfly wings, a pale blue ribbon tied at her waist and a wreath of flowers on her head. Her feet are bare.
