CONTENTS: Performance of stepping, introduced by Jane Harris Woodside, assistant director of CASS. Members of the Alpha Phi Alpha fraternity (Frederick Brabson, Alan Kirkpatrick, Glenn Powell, Wayne Shorter II) of East Tennessee State University perform Hard road to Alpha, A Phi A is the best frat, Old King Tut, Ice ice, and My icy brothers. In the ensuing interview with Woodside, they describe how they learned step dancing, and the occasions and reasons for performing. Members of the Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority (Jackie Boston, Zenia Ford, Kay Melton, Kamesa O'Neal, Kim Redd) of the same university then perform two cane routines; The history of AKA; We're not conceited, just convinced; Sorors, do this; Let my daughter go Alpha; and Satirizing (or "cracking on" fraternities).
