  • Largely comprised of choreographic and production notes (295 items) and correspondence (228 items) documenting Bettis' professional work from 1942-1982. Prominent in the production series are the notes on "A streetcar named Desire." Bettis' correspondents include William Faulkner, Agnes de Mille, Alexandra Danilova, and John Martin. Also in the correspondence series are letters related to the accusations made by the publication "Counterattack" in 1953 that Bettis was involved in Communist-supported activities.
