Note

Plates originally intended to be published separately in 14 monthly parts of a size to bind up with the Works of Byron (cf. upper cover, verso, of pt. I). Instructions for binding with the Works appear on the lower paper covers of parts I and II. In part XIV, the publishers announced the completion of volume 1 of the present work, with the publication of an appendix containing text by W. Brockedon describing the subjects of the plates issued in the first eight parts. The second appendix, with text for parts IX to XVI was announced in part XX. The final appendix was announced in part XXIV. The final announcement included prices for binding the text and plates together in 3 vols.
Added engraved title-pages: Finden's landscape & portrait illustrations to the life and works of Lord Byron.
Illustrations: Each volume contains 42 full-page engravings by E. Finden and W. Finden, after drawings by various artists.
