  • Cassette 1. Phyllis Gutelius discusses her early ballet training and studying at the Graham school; her first tour with the Martha Graham Dance Company; dancing the role of the saint in Graham's Seraphic dialogue; Graham's Night journey; her smaller roles in the company; her first solo roles in Seraphic dialogue and Part real - part dream, and the role of Iphigenia in Clytemnestra; and her acting training.
  • Cassette 2. Ms. Gutelius discusses Graham's choreographies Deaths and entrances, El penitente, Errand into the maze; Appalachian spring, and Clytemnestra.
  • Cassette 3. Ms. Gutelius further discusses Seraphic dialogue; the origins of Graham's personality; Graham's Embattled garden, Errand into the maze, Night journey, and Deaths and entrances.
