On p. iii: Let the number of performers be at least that of the cartridges [i.e. phonograph pickup] and not greater than twice the number of cartridges.
On p. ii: Each performer makes his own part from the material supplied, which is: 20 numbered sheets having shapes inscribed, a transparent sheet with points, a transparent sheet with circles, a transparent sheet with a circle marked like a stop-watch, a transparent sheet with a dotted curving line having at one end a circle.
