- Summary
- Documentary about a visit by choreographer Agnes de Mille to the dance department of Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles. Dance director Judy Scalin and her students are seen rehearsing in the studio in preparation for the visit, and three students are singled out to talk about their choreography and expectations. The program follows de Mille as she watches the students perform, and eloquently describes to them the sacrifices and rewards of a dancer's life. The interchange and sense of mutual enrichment between de Mille and the students is demonstrated by her appreciative comments on their potential and their assessments of the lessons they learned from her.
