- Summary
- Former New York City Ballet dancer Roberta Meier describes being asked to join New York City Ballet; her first impression of George Balanchine; impressions of Lincoln Kirstein; working with Balanchine in the rehearsal studio; Balanchine's gentleness. She discusses her ballroom dancing and her development of a training method for ballroom dancers based on ballet training. She reflects on why she left New York City Ballet.
