Biography
Buddy Basch, born in 1922 in South Orange, New Jersey and educated at Columbia University, was a columnist, radio critic and editor before becoming one of the most successful talent agents in the 1950s. With his partner Dick Gersh he formed the talent agency Buddy Basch Associates. Though primarily an agent for singers, his clients also included musicians, comedians, actors and a variety of performing artists. In 1966 he formed the Buddy Basch Feature Syndicate and covered show business, travel and many other subjects for a variety of well-known publications including The New York Daily News, Argosy, The Christian Science Monitor and Today Magazine.
