- Jaggard's Shakespeare bibliography states that this was "originally issued in 1780," probably confusing it with the adaptation by William Woods issued that year under title "The twins, or Which is which?" According to Dict. nat. biog. "The twins, an alteration of the 'Comedy of errors,' 24 April, 1762 [was] never printed, but once acted, and possibly assigned to Hull in error."
