- Authorship uncertain; based upon Charles Dibdin's song, "Mounseer Nong Tong Paw" (1796); perhaps a collaborative effort by John Taylor (1757-1832), William Mulready, William Godwin, and Mary Wollstonecraft [Godwin] Shelley (cf. E. W. Sunstein's "A William Godwin Letter, and Young Mary Godwin's Part in 'Mounseer Nongtongpaw'" in the Keats-Shelley journal, v. 45 (1996), p. 19-22).
