- Summary
- This talisman was prepared as a healing prayer for a man called Wolde Selassie against demons and the evil eye that cause disease. Prayers are made to St. Mary, St. Michael, St. Gabriel, St. Raphael, and the apostles. The name of an Ethiopian saint Bishop Petros is also invoked. The prayer begins "In the name of the Father, the Son, Holy Spirit, One God." It ends with a prayer "In the name of Jesus Christ to protect and heal your servant Wolde Selassi..."

- Illuminated manuscript scroll made of three strips of vellum sewn together. The scroll is iluminated with full-figured images of the angels St. Michael, St. Gabriel and St. Raphael and geometric designs done in tempura with borders in red ink. The arch-angel St. Michael is pictured holding a white sword in the first strip. The second strip contains the images of the arch-angels St. Gabriel and St. Raphael. The third strip has a geometric design of square blocks in black, blue, red and yellow at the top, and another pattern at the bottom.
