  • Mary Harris Cornwallis, of Wittersham, Kent, England, was the author of two religious works. In 1778, she married William Cornwallis (1751-1827), the rector of Wittersham for some thirty years. They had two daughters, Sarah (1779-1803), and the scholar and writer Caroline Frances Cornwallis (1786-1858).

Mary Harris Cornwallis, of Wittersham, Kent, England, was the author of two religious works. In 1778, she married William Cornwallis (1751-1827), the rector of Wittersham for some thirty years. They had two daughters, Sarah (1779-1803), and the scholar and writer Caroline Frances Cornwallis (1786-1858).
