- Edward Allen Jennings, physician and historian, was an authority on church architecture and the history of old New York. He compiled and wrote two unpublished architectural surveys: "Church Designs: Also Residences and College Buildings" (1937), and "Manhattanville: an Architectural Retrospect" (1940). Jennings, the son of architect Arthur B. Jennings, died in New York in 1958, age 76.
