Leopold Badia (1905-1976) was an actor for many years, appearing in a number of Broadway shows, on radio, and in stock and repertory productions in several cities. Born in Seville, Spain, Jan. 2, 1905, but long a resident of Brooklyn, N.Y., Leopold Badia made his Broadway debut in a show called SPEAK EASY in 1927. The following year he appeared in the premiere of Sophie Treadwell's MACHINAL with Clark Gable. Other Broadway credits include A BELL FOR ADANO (1944), the 1946 revival of CYRANO DE BERGERAC opposite José Ferrar, and THE GENTLEMAN FROM ATHENS (1947) with Anthony Quinn.
