The interview includes Frederic Franklin's comments on photographs of ballets shown to him at the interview. Frederic Franklin speaks about Leonide Massine's ballet Vienna - 1814, including the cast and the choreography; comments on photographs of the ballet; speaks about Valerie Bettis's ballet Virginia sampler [created for the Ballet Russe de Monte Carlo], including Franklin's choreographing of his own exit; the cast; how Bettis came to receive the commission for the ballet; comments on photographs of Virginia sampler; Julie [Iuliia Nikolaevna] Sedova, the company's teacher in Monte Carlo; the Russian dancer and teacher Lydia Kyasht; Bettis's ballet Streetcar named desire. [Ends abruptly.]

These interviews were recorded for the Frederic Franklin Oral History Project; the Project is a collaboration between the George Balanchine Foundation and The New York Public Library for the Performing Arts. Valreene Tweedie was also present near the end of the sesssion.
