- Biography
- Max Rabinoff (1879-1966) was an opera, concert music, and ballet impresario who established or managed several opera companies in North America and sponsored the American tours of international artists, including Anna Pavlova. As a producer, Rabinoff focused on adding realism to operatic performances and providing those performances to the public at a reasonable price. Having brought many foreign performers and troupes before American audiences, one of Rabinoff's proudest professional achievements was his participation in the establishment of the American Institute of Operatic Arts (also known as the American Institute of Operatic and Allied Arts), which focused on the training and development of American artists.
