Note
  • [Second Week! Great Success! Friday and Saturday evenings the 24th and 25th of April, for the first time, the well-known theatre manager Jacob Adler will stage "Job," the fantastic drama in four acts from the famous poet and playwright, A. M. Sharkanski, the author of "Unsane toykef." Whosoever wants to see the most elevated, the greatest, and the most wonderful masterpiece on the Yiddish stage, whosoever wants to fill their souls with godliness, philosophy, poetry and truth, whosoever wants to hear and marvel at the drama "Job" performed by the Adler Company and see the work by the rare young talent, A.M. Sharkanski, we are certain that you all will shout hurray for the artists, hurray for Adler, and thousand times hurray for Sharkanski].
  • [The roles of Satan, the shepherd and the king will be played by our talented actor, Mr. Rosenthal. The role of Zemira the shpherdess will be played by our most gifted actress, Mrs. S. Adler. The role of Merciful Leniancy will be played by Mrs. Wilensky. The role of the later satan, Uzial, will be played by the talented Mr. Manne. The role of satan Seir will be played by our comic Mr. Katzman].
  • [See what the editor of the "Abend Blatt" wrote about our performance. "...The allegorical tale of Job, which is in many aspects similar to Faust, is conveyed faithfully and comes across quite dramatically.]
  • [The monologues of many of the scenes are brilliantly written, and the play in general has many effects that are skillfully synthesized. Job is certainly the best play Mr. Sharkanski has yet to write].
